This week
I have decided to stop requiring math fact signatures every week temporarily. I feel like we have hit a plateau with our facts. We will take the next two weeks off, when we return in January we will have a new plan to help with math facts.
Today we worked with multiplying mixed numbers, turning mixed numbers into improper fractions, turning improper fractions into mixed numbers. Our homework for tonight is to complete the 3 times recipe on with our chocolate chip cookie recipe. Here are the answers to homework.
We will be making a recipe book for a grade over all three topics mentioned earlier.

Today we talked about multiplying two fractions using a visual model
Helpful reminders:
the denominator tells you how many pieces to cut the box into
the numerator tells you how many pieces to shade in
the first fraction is done horizontal (rows)
the second fraction is done vertical (columns)
***Remember this is a fifth grade standard but we also will talk about how to multiply with out a model tomorrow!
